The secret is in quality. If you are relying on spam emails or solo ads to generate enough prospects to build your business, or purchasing the poor-quality leads vendors sell, the law of averages is really against you. You will need big numbers of leads as only a small percentage of them will actually be quality prospects.
The higher the quality of leads you work, the fewer of them you will need.
Without a doubt, the highest quality mlm leads you can work are those you generate yourself via personal branding, search engine domination, or social media. Those are prospects who have sought you out because they were actively searching for what you can provide. They already know you, like you, and want to work with you. Using this approach to build my business, I have not purchased a lead in years!

The Top Money Maker Is Usually Not The Best MLM Mentor
By · CommentsOne of the amazing things I’ve seen in the network marketing industry is that the top money maker in a company is usually not going to be your best mlm mentor!
A good MLM mentor is something we all need.
Their experience and leadership can be extremely valuable as you build your business. There are two main reasons why the number one income earner in your mlm may not be the best mentor.
Lack of accessibility. More often than not, the number one person in any company is over-committed and too busy to be readily accessible. They are heavily sought out for webinars, company calls and events, and other commitments. One of the most valuable assets of a good mentor is being easy to reach.
What they do may not be duplicatable. Many times the top money maker got there by doing things most other networkers cannot copy. Even though it has brought them tremendous success, it is not duplicatable. They may have a unique online presence, or maybe they brought an existing downline from a previous company. A big part of the success you will have with a good mentor comes from being a good copy-cat of what they do.
Don’t underestimate accessibility and duplication. They are two critical elements in choosing your best mlm mentor.

MLM Recruiting Tip – Be Quick To Disqualify
By · CommentsMLM recruiting will be much more effective when you learn to quickly disqualify the poor prospects for your team!
One of the challenges in building a successful mlm business is learning which business partners and which prospects to spend your time with.
There are certain prospects that I refuse to spend time with. They waste your time, drain your energy, and if you do manage to enroll one, they rarely succeed.
MLM recruiting results soar when you weed out certain prospects
Here are the four most common unqualified prospects:
1. Skeptics. Today it’s not unusual for people to be a little skeptical, especially with all of the junk on the Internet…and that’s OK. But if someone is going to take a lot of convincing, I get rid of them.
2. Negative people. The real doom and gloomers. Who wants to be around them anyway. One of the best things about network marketing and mlm recruiting is that you get to pick who you work with.
3. Uninformed and Misinformed. The classic is the person who asks if your mlm is a pyramid. My stock answer is “Absolutely not. If that’s what you’re looking for, I can’t help you.” If they are still hung up on the pyramid thing and have not done any more research than that, they are not for me.
4. Won’t get on the phone. This is probably the best barometer of all. If a prospect only wants to communicate by email, or worse yet, snail mail, they have zero chance of being successful in network marketing today. I refuse to spend a half hour writing an email to answer a list of questions that can be handled on the phone in just a few minutes.
Learn to quickly disqualify poor prospects so you can focus on the ones with real potential. You will have the confidence to weed people out quickly when you have a steady flow of good prospects looking at your business each day. The key is creating enough good leads.

MLM Recruiting – How To Recruit Busy People
By · CommentsMLM recruiting is one of the most important skills you can learn in our industry.
While a strong customer base is important, building a large, actively duplicating team is the way to really leverage a top income. One of the keys to building that successful team is not just increasing the number of new people you recruit, but their caliber too.
Over the years, I have had tremendous success by actively recruiting busy people for our team. I love working with busy people. They just seem to get things done. They are almost always the most coachable, motivated, and likely to be hugely successful.
I am convinced that most networkers do not have the success they could in mlm recruiting busy people because they go at it all wrong. They treat busy people like other leads, talking about how much money they can make and how using their team’s system, it will only take a few hours per week to build a business. That’s not what busy people are looking for!
MLM recruiting busy people requires a different focus
The hot button for busy people is not the money…it’s the lifestyle they really want. And I can relate to that. The money in our industry can be great, but what Barbara and I really treasure is the freedom to do what we want…when we want. With busy people I FOCUS on lifestyle!
One of the great things about network marketing is that you get to target who you work with. Learn how to approach busy people and enjoy new success in mlm recruiting.
